Windstrip LLC, a technology- and performance-focused renewable energy solutions company headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, is pleased to announce its recent hire of Balaji T Vinjimoor, who will join the Windstrip team as Vice President of Sales and business development for Eastern Africa and India. Bala will expand Windstrip renewable energy products within Eastern Africa and India in the telecom space as well as work on the development of new markets for Windstrips’current and new products.
“I was attracted by the company's mission and commitment to decreasing our dependence on fossil fuels in the telecom among other segments. I firmly believe that imparting knowledge to people how to apply sustainability principles in the telecom or other industrial or residential markets is the best multiplier to truly create change and contribute to the goals of the globe,” Bala stated when joining Windstrip.
Bala comes to Windstrip with nearly 20 years of experience in Business Development and P & L Management in multiple industries with focus in the telecom segment. Most recently, Bala worked at Uganda telecom Ltd. as General Manager-Head of Enterprise Business. There, he was Responsible for realignment of enterprise organization structure and customer portfolio. This background has helped Bala to make an easy transition to Windstrip LLC with its focus in the telecom segment in Africa and India.
“I intend to apply my telecom experience to develop and execute renewable energy sales strategy in eastern Africa and India where a large percentage of telecom towers are currently powered by diesel generators. I am looking forward to educate and change the landscape away from fossil fuels, to economically more viable options with Windstrip renewable energy products and facilitate the effort to decrease the carbon footprint,” he said.
